All services offered by PVMSEC are provided free of charge to all honorably discharged Veterans

Veteran Benefit / Entitlement Assistance
Our Veteran Service Officers hold an in-depth knowledge of the VA Medical system and VA disability claims and entitlements and are able to answer any questions that Veterans may have. They work one-on-one with Veterans to understand the needs and guide them through the process of filing VA service connected claims and/or understanding and applying for your GI Bill entitlements.

Employment and Training Services
PVMSEC's Green Business Solutions and Computer Repair A+ Preparation training classes are designed with the current job market in mind to allow Veterans to acquire the necessary skills to compete for demanding positions and to earn a livable wage.

Homeless Veteran Services
Since our beginning in 1980, PVMSEC has provided assistance to homeless Veterans and Veterans in danger of this life situation. Providing a full continuum of care for homeless Veterans we currently operate (The Perimeter) a homeless day service center, two gender specific transitional residencies (LZ II and The Mary E. Walker House), and various permanent housing programs.

Veterans Transition Assistance
One of our newest programs, Freedom and Honor, is a transitional training program with a focus on those Veterans struggling with combat stress and readjustment issues resulting from one or more deployments in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), and other foreign military operations.

On-site Resources
Over the years PVMSEC has established many community partnerships and increased our own efforts to provide the most sought after resources for Veterans at our downtown Philadelphia location. On-site resources include: PA CareerLink, VA Regional Office representative, Homeless Advocacy Project (legal services), weekday shuttle service to and from VA Medical Center, Philadelphia VA homeless outreach team, and emergency food and clothing.
