Nets and Vets Golf Outing is the premier golf outing sponsored by Golf Charities. Founded in 2009 by avid golfer Jim Kelly, the event seeks to raise funds for two important charities; Nothing but Nets and Philadelphia Veterans Multi-Service and Education Center. Golf Charities is a 501(c)(3) organization founded to use golf as a vehicle to support diverse philanthropic organizations.

Memorial Day at National Liberty Museum
The National Liberty Museum is honoring the brave men and women who've served in the U.S. Armed Forces by offering free admission during Memorial Day Weekend to all visitors who bring an acceptable donation (see list below) to benefit Philadelphia's homeless veterans.
All of the donations will be given to The Philadelphia Veterans Multi-Service & Education Center, Inc.
Additionally, all Memorial Day Weekend visitors will also receive a free guided tour provided by Museum Educators that will take place at various times each day. The tour will highlight heroes who stood for peace in times of war and those who made an influential impact in ending wars and becoming advocates for U.S. troops upon their return. We will also take this time to think about the meaning of Peace, Respect, Love and Friendship in our craft station, where children and families design their own medals of honor for each of these important values.
