Employment and Training
5,000 square feet of PVMSEC's location is designated for our employment and training center where eligible Veterans acquire the necessary skills to compete for demanding positions and to earn a livable wage.
Currently our training programs are funded by The US Department of Labor's Homeless Veterans Reintegration Project (HVRP) and the Incarcerated Veterans Training Program (IVTP).
Designated computer kiosks are also available for walk-in Veterans to job search and accomplish other life enhancing activities.

Green Business Solutions Computer Training
This 6 week course provides concepts and hands-on experience creating a work environment in which the use of paper is eliminated or greatly reduced. Many companies are "going paperless" to boost productivity, save space, make electronic documentation and information sharing easier and in turn are able to minimize their carbon footprint.
Course Curriculum Includes:
- Introduction to a Paperless Office / Home
- Outlook Setup / Calendar / Distribution Lists / Scheduling Tasks
- Introduction to Windows Live and Windows Live Messenger
- Introduction to Facebook & Twitter
- Microsoft Office Web Apps
- Introduction to Cloud Computing
- Microsoft OneNote
- Communications / Customer Relations / Social Networking
- Resume Writing & Interview Technique Workshops
- Job Search Skills, Placement and Referral
- Transportation will be provided to this accepted into training
A+ Preparation / Computer Repair Training
An 8 week course providing theory and hands-on training in installation, preventative maintenance, networking, security and troubleshooting. Once complete, Veterans are able to take the CompTia A+ Certification Exam to validate their knowledge and skills necessary for a career in PC support. CompTIA A+ is part of the certification track for corporations such as Microsoft, HP, DELL and Cisco.

- Hardware / Software Installation and Configuration
- PC Set-Up and Troubleshooting
